# Glass > Glass is a free, open-source, low-latency remote desktop for macOS and Linux (Wayland). Install it on the computer you want to control, then see and control it from a browser on an iPad, iPhone, or another computer. Typical latency is 15–30 ms from screen capture to display, including over Tailscale. Nothing to install on the viewing device. Install on the computer to be controlled: `curl -fsSL glassdesk.dev | sh` (macOS 13+ on Apple Silicon or Intel; Linux x86_64 on Wayland, beta). The installer starts `glass setup`, a guided setup for Tailscale, the background service and permissions. Viewers need only a browser (Safari 26.4+, Chrome, Edge, Firefox). Free and open source (MIT). ## Docs - [Full documentation](https://glassdesk.dev/llms-full.txt): everything in one file: install, setup, features, keyboard behaviour on iPad, CLI reference, architecture, security, troubleshooting, FAQ - [Documentation (HTML)](https://glassdesk.dev/docs): the same, as a web page - [Install script](https://glassdesk.dev/install.sh): what `curl -fsSL glassdesk.dev | sh` runs - [Source code](https://github.com/Ntarasiuk/glass): Rust host, browser client, and this website (MIT) ## Optional - [Feedback API](https://glassdesk.dev/docs.md#feedback): `POST https://glassdesk.dev/api/feedback` with JSON `{"message": "…"}`
